Church Road Self-catering is situated in the heart of the leafy suburb of Walmer, with easy access to the airport, shopping malls, restaurants, the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, the St George's Park cricket grounds, and the lovely beaches of the Port Elizabeth area.

Suitable for the business traveller or tourist, this home away from home lies within a lovely garden setting where you can enjoy the outdoor area. We offer elegant accommodation in a self-catering unit with a separate entrance and patio. The unit features an en-suite bedroom with double or twin beds and is equipped with a fridge, oven and stove, microwave, etc. Off-street parking is provided and guests also have access to the swimming pool and outdoor barbecue facilities, as well as a half-pipe for the more adventurous. A cleaning and laundry service can also be provided upon request.

We are located in Church Road in Walmer, one of Port Elizabeth's most distinguished neighbourhoods. Our location is central to many venues and facilities in Port Elizabeth, and is easy to find.

We are also situated about 1 km from Moffett-on-Main and the Offices of the UK Visa Application Centre, thus conveniently located if you need accommodation prior to or after your appointment.

The minimum stay is two nights for two persons.

"The only thing that is not too clear in the write up is that you have to walk through the main room with the Queen sized bed to get to the kitchen and bathroom. Could be an issue with those wanting more privacy. It wasn't an issue for us so we loved our stay."

"The location in upper Walmer is the best with a quiet ambience but with a large shopping centre only 5 minutes away. Everything was clean and comfortable in the 2 bedroom cottage but the rats in the ceiling kept us awake from 04:00. We had many good titled DVD's in the cottage but no player and only one station was available on the TV."

"We spent a night at this delightful establishment. Gavin was very professional and friendly. Extremely clean, comfortable with an incredibly peaceful vibe to it. They had tons of extras like cupcakes on arrival, slab of chocolate on our beds, kitchen had tea, coffee, milk, water, all the little things one needs to feel comfortable in a home away from home environment. I would DEFINITELY recommend this self-catering establishment to any and all. A must if picky and fussy like me, I was VERY happy with it."

Sharon made us feel really welcome and spoiled us with 'added extras': chocolate cupcakes (mmmm, and consumed within 10 minutes of arriving), tea, coffee and fruit drinks, latest magazines, DSTV and a bookcase filled with books...and yes we did make it out the door again for doing the things we needed to do in PE before returning home again to Holland.
