Incwala Lodge

Incwala Lodge formerly known as Blaauwbosch Trout Inn is family run and owned, giving it a distinct kind of hospitality that is uniquely Mpumalanga and has a strong Swati heritage. Nestled in the mountains of Emgwenya is a sanctuary of bird life; trout fish, ancient ruins and a place many of our guests call a home away from home.

This 103 ha. farm is situated just outside Waterval Boven on the edge of the Highveld with breath-taking views of the Elandsvalley. We pride ourselves in the open-air spaces that enable guests to enjoy a holiday away from the hustle and bustle of the city all with just a 02h30min drive from Johannesburg on the N4 and 1-hour drive from Nelspruit.

We offer tranquility, privacy and plenty of activities for families, groups of friends or just travelers exploring the Highlands Meander.

  • "Neat and Cozy"

"We had a wonderful overnight stay at the Umhlanga chalet. It had all the necessities for the night, was very neat and whilst not the largest unit it was cozy, staff we interacted with were very friendly. Will definitely recommend this specific unit for overnight or shorter stays."

  • "Was a bit of a disapointment"

    01 December 2015

"We stayed at Robin House from 26 to 29 Nov. Despite Bruce warm welcome, we found that the place lacked a proper cleaning. Shelves were dusty, curtain drapes dusty, many lights lacked working globes in the sockets. On the plus side, the hot water system worked great with plenty of hot water.. The trout fishing was good and managed to catch and release 4 medium sized trout."
