Owl and Elephant Lodge is a tranquil lodge where you can relax and rejuvenate away from the hustle and bustle of busy everyday life. Here you can experience the wonders of nature in a relaxed bush atmosphere. The Bushmans River is adjacent to the property and is a popular place for fishing and picnicking.Accommodation is offered in eight tastefully furnished and well-appointed en-suite rooms, each equipped with a TV and tea and coffee-making facilities. Although we are a bed and breakfast establishment, lunch and dinner can be provided by prior arrangement.In August 2016, we added a unit of 5 self-catering, en-suite rooms to accommodate 10 persons with a communal kitchen for groups wanting to come and relax and get away from the formality of a dining room.The Weenen Game Reserve is nearly on our doorstep, being only 5 km away. This well run game reserve offers extensive game-viewing facilities, guided walks and environmental education. More than 230 species of birds have been recorded and there are two hides overlooking a dam. Wildlife in the reserve includes giraffe, hyena, jackal, bushbuck, reedbuck, steenbuck, and porcupine, etc.

"Our family of 5 adults stayed overnight. We visited Weenen Game Reserve late afternoon and arrived at Owl and Elephant at 6.30pm. Rooms and supper were ready. Next morning we went for an early morning game drive at Weenen and returned to B&B for breakfast. We relaxed in the lounge area till midday and then headed home. Super hostess. B@B clean and comfortable, very relaxed. Food is hearty home cooked style."

"We as a family spend 2 nights at Owl and Elephant at Weenen and although it was a detour from the N3 to Durban, it was all worth it! The lodge is clean, neat and 100% up to standard. The staff is very friendly and the food was excellent! I will very highly recommend a stay at Owl and Elephant. Pat, Emily and all the staff thanks for your hospitality it was great!"
