"I had the pleasure of an overnight stay here whilst attending a wedding nearby. Upon entering the estate it doesnt look like much whilst driving down the brick and dirt track road but once you reach the reception area you know you are in for a nice and welcoming stay.
We saw lots of small wildlife running around the gardens which gave it a very peaceful feel to it, the room was lovely and large, clean with a nice comfy bed with lots of pillows. The restaurant area offers inside and outside seating with a clear view right across the estate. There is even an outside swimming pool nestled away inside the gardens.
I wouldnt hesitate to return for another stay and would recommend it to anyone wishing to stay here.
"
"The staff were very friendly and helpfull. The owners just the opposite. On what basis do you earn 4 stars at SA grading council without TV or barfridge in rooms? There is a huge mice/rat problem. They were running over corrigated iron roof from 03h00 and was very difficult to sleep. Very peacefull setting. Nice pool. Breakfast far below par. Scrambled eggs and toast?"
"We stayed over at Diemersfontein Country House for one night and were disappointed that we didnt book two nights to enjoy the wonderful surroundings.

The room itself was pretty chilly, but the establishment has done its best to provide airconditioning (that works) and a heater that unfortunately kept on tripping the wall plugs.

We appreciated the fact that it was an old building with history and enjoyed a comfortable night sleep.

The food was delicious, the waitress was friendly, and the kitchen made a great flat white!

We also really enjoyed tasting the great wines that the farm makes.

An enjoyable experience.
"
