Merlot 171 Bed and Breakfast

Merlot 171 Bed and Breakfast is situated on the beautiful Onverwacht Wine Estate in the historic town of Wellington. Merlot 171 offers guests three beautiful en-suite rooms and a scrumptious continental breakfast in the mornings.

The three en-suite rooms are furnished with either a cosy double bed or single beds and linen and towels are provided. Each room is equipped with a TV with Hotel Package DStv, a microwave, and tea and coffee facilities. Rooms have private entrances and secure parking is provided. Braai facilities are available on request.

Situated in the heart of the winelands, guests are on the doorstep of some of the best winemakers in the country. Butterfly World will fascinate big and small and offers sightings of butterflies from as far afield as Costa Rica, the Philippines, Malaysia, and China; a spider room with displays of indigenous and exotic spiders and scorpions, safely behind glass; an outdoor garden with a large aviary; a meerkat enclosure and wandering ducks, chickens and goats. Various nature reserves can also be visited and Cape Town is only a short drive away for those looking to do more exploring.
