  "We stayed in the Stone Cottage on 30 Nov & 1 Dec. What a lovely well-maintained cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. The owner made us feel most welcome, and as there were no client to check-in the same day, we were allowed to leave after the scheduled 10h. We will definitely be back !"

  "My wife and I, and eight-month baby, had a lovely 5-day stay at Braeview Guesthouse. We stayed in the self-catering cottage in the back-garden, which was really private and spacious, with a nice little patio where we could BBQ and the baby could splash in a paddling pool. Nicely appointed accommodation - a great base to explore the coastline and wineries. From the cottage its a lovely 2.5km walk along the gorgeous cliff-top walk to town."

  "A nice clean and spacy cottage, all and everthing was good and even the hints weve got from Farnie and Erina to eat out made it perfect, also the place for breakfast, great AND the hints where to see the whales...I keep it my secret, but join and ask them ;o)"

  "Lovely, clean and neat cottage.we stayed at stone cottage for 2 days on a birthday break. The only thing the cottage lacked was a personal touch, like a welcome note or small jug of milk in the fridge."

  "Erina was a fantastic host and made us feel welcome and provided excellent advice on eating out! Our rooms were very tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. Ditto bathroom and toilet. The kitchen was fully equipped with good utensils that we didn't use but would have has we spent longer. The lounge spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect for cliff walking and street exceptionally quiet. Highly recommended and excellent value for money, and would return."

  "Our hosts, Erina and Stefan de Jager, were more than helpful in suggesting and reserving restaurants and our whale watching trip. Hermanus really is THE place to spot whales, and even though you might very well be able to see them from the shore, a boat trip will bring you much closer and you will have a much more intimate experience. Our room was nicely furnished and had all that we needed for our self-catering breakfasts."

  "We spent a night in the stone cottage at Braeview and the place was immaculate. You can just see by looking at the place overall that the owners take great care in providing great accommodation at an affordable price. The location is also very good. Going back for the whale season!"

  "My wife and I so enjoyed our stay in the Stone Garden Cottage. Feels very private, and a real retreat. Interior is decorated nicely w/o being overly done. The fridge, small stove and microwave were nice to do some of our meals. Lovely restaurants ten minute walk away. The owners were very friendly and engaging. And Fanie is a gifted classical singer!"

  "We stayed at Braeview guesthouse for 5 nights. The owner, Erina, was very accommodating. She converted the study into a 4th bedroom in the main house. The stand-alone cottage was also great. The location is ideal, as it is very quiet, but only a 2 min drive to the centre of town. We would stay here again."
