"The unit was very well equipped and comfortable although the pillows were too stiff for us. I also was put off by the artificial smell upon entering the unit."
"Wonderful units with everything one needs. Clean, spacious and feels like home. Partial sea view with the sounds of the crashing waves sending you to sleep. We will definitely return!"
"We stayed in one of the two bedroom apartments which are on the Whale Rock complex near to the New Harbour, an ideal place to book your boat whale watching trip. The complex is very secure and very well maintained. The gardens and grounds were immaculate, the gardeners work hard keeping everything neat and tidy. Everyone we met on the complex during our stay were very pleasant. The security guys always waved when we left the complex which our grandson loved.
The apartment we stayed in was beautifully decorated, very clean and well equipped. Plenty of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils perfect for a self catering stay. It was lovely walking into the bedrooms to find sweets and home made whale cookies on the bed. We enjoyed using the BBQ which is provided for you, this can be placed on your patio area outside the dining area of the unit. To have breakfast at the dining table looking out across the gardens to the sea was a wonderful way to start the day and to finish the day watching the sun go down with a glass or two of wine. The views from the apartment are stunning and we even spotted a whale or two. Plenty of birds, butterflies, lizards etc to watch on the plants and rock areas close by.
The apartment also has a washing machine and there is plenty of washing line space by the laundry room on the complex. The laundry room on the complex also has a coin operated tumble dryer.
Our grandson used the swimming pool on the complex during our stay which he enjoyed (but it was a bit chilly for us).
You have your own shaded car parking space which was situated close to the apartment.
Annamarie and Dave are a lovely couple and we felt like we had known them for ages. They are very passionate about caring for their guests and making their stay with them perfect. We arrived a few days before our daughter and grandson and our daughter had contacted Annamarie to ask if flowers and wine could be left in the apartment for our arrival. A beautiful bouquet greeted us and a very nice bottle of wine. Nothing seemed too much trouble.
We love Hermanus it is a gem of a place and our daughter and grandson have also fallen in love with it and now we have found our ideal home for our next visit which we hope will be soon. All of us were sad when it was time to leave.
Thank you both for a most enjoyable stay
Dave, Karen, Michelle and Reece"
