"The people from Villa Victoria are probably very nice as they told me I should contact Safarinow.com to get my deposit back. So I tried to contact Safarinow.com many times via telephone and via email but they are not reachable by phone and dont reply to emails. So yes I want my deposit back. I didnt cancel. RSA is in lock down so no way I could travel to and in RSA."

"This was a total fail. We arrived at the guest house only to be told that they did not have our booking. After about 20 minutes of more time wasting we got our money back and left The owners' final comment to us was "at least you didn't come from KZN". Not sure how that makes a difference..... I think we'll stick with hotels in future."

"Very bad experience, staff was not aware of our arrival. Dinning area was not clean, generally the house was dirty, it is as the house was not cleaned before we arrived. We left without staying over."

"Thank you ever so much for arranging a very comfortable , homely and fun providing accommodation. All the girls were extremely happy and we really enjoyed our stay. The owners Anamari and Stan were warm and fabulous. We really bonded like a family with them. "We stayed a day in the self catering flat. The owner was very friendly. The garden is large and beautiful. Unfortunately, the flat was not clean. The carpet did not look like it was vacuumed in ages. There were cobwebs with the attending spiders everywhere and fish moths behind the beds headboard. The rooms were of ample size. If the place was just clean I would have given it four stars."

"We attended a show at Carnival City, about 10 km from the guest house. The location is ideal for that. We didn't know Benoni and thought it an unlikely location for a charming suburb and guest house. But this area surpassed our expectation. It is really beautiful and being boomed off, is also safe and secure. It is close to a bird sanctuary that is surrounded by the most incredible collection of luxury houses. The gardens at Villa Victoria are beautifully kept. Wish we had more time to just soak up the beauty of the Victorian style garden. The garden is HUGE and so are the trees at the parking area. The building is old and needs maintenance here and there, but it provides for a wonderful journey back to Victorian times. Most of the decor and furniture also match, or dates from, Victorian times. If you like that, you'll have a good time. If you don't, stay away. There is nothing modern about this place. The best part was the hostess and owner, Annamari. Bubbling with enthusiasm and hospitality, she is the soul of Villa Victoria. Her spontaneity and humility added sparkle to the experience. Annamari served breakfast on the patio and her friendly demeanour soon had us talking to the other guests over breakfast as well. The Victorian breakfast was splendid and even catered adequately for my wife who is very conscious of kilojoule intake. If we were to attend another late show at Carnival City, we would certainly consider staying at Villa Victoria again."

"The Villa Victoria is a wonderful Bed & Breakfast with extremely friendly service!I was traveling through South Africa with my retired parents, and we only had one day in Johannesburg.I am so pleased we stayed at Villa Victoria.We were treated with very personal service, huge clean rooms, and a tasty and hearty breakfast.We were even given a fun neighborhood drive around the surrounding mansions in this beautiful community.There is a large fountain in the courtyard of the estate that gives a very romantic feeling.The ceilings are high (about 10 feet), even in the bedrooms upstairs, and everything is ornate and palatial.If you enjoy meeting vivaciously lovely people in a very personal and grand setting, this is an ideal place to stay!"
