The Ihawu shield originated from the Zulu tribe, which was used in battles for protection against the attack of their enemies, and is part of a rich Zulu culture and heritage. The Ihawu Guest House offers an experience of the traditional local culture and flavour of KwaZulu Natal, where waking up completely rested to the sound of chirping birds and a gentle breeze is a regular experience.

We offer accommodation in twin or double rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, ceiling fans and a TV with DStv. Tea and coffee is also available throughout the day. Shuttle services to and from the airport can be provided, and parking is available on site. Laundry facilities are also available. A braai can be arranged and vegetarian diets catered for on request. In addition, guests are welcome to relax in our beautiful shady garden or around the swimming pool.
