Wishingwell Lodge

Wishingwell Lodge is a grand, huge thatched house in Westville, Durban, recently converted into a bed and breakfast. The house is nested in a magnificent and serene garden with a sparkling pool, adjacent to Paradise Valley. We pledge fantastic service, luxurious accommodation and a memorable stay.

Enjoy an evergreen garden and the relaxing setting. All rooms are equipped with 32-inch flat-screen televisions and selected rooms have DStv. DVD players are available on request. The rooms are also air-conditioned for the comfort of our guests. There are also self-catering facilities in selected rooms.

We encourage our guests to make use of the swimming pool, sauna and Jacuzzi. There is a 52-inch flat-screen TV in the lounge, as well as Wi-Fi. We prepare a light breakfast on request.

We are close to major shopping centers and highways, and 20 minutes from the airport, ICC, golden mile beaches, and other major attractions. Special occasions and functions are available.

"Bad experience"

"We arrived after a long cold day to find no hot water and little sympathy from the owner. Next morning - again no hot water so we insisted in using a bathroom in the main house. Very poor upkeep of the unit which was quite tatty - lots of plastic including the flowers. A bed in the kitchen! Electric blanket (nice) but no plug to power it! Breakfast in the room but no table to eat it on - we found a plastic table out in the cold.All in all an expensive and unpleasant stay."
