  • "Best stay away from home"

    01 June 2015

"A dream! Peaceful, clean and well set up. My partner and I couldn't help but be drawn to the majestic scenery and luxurious suite. We initially had booked the dillys suite, upon arrival we found out that we had been upgraded to the much bigger and equipped one, simply because the expected guests couldn't make their weekend stay. A lovely gesture, really impressed and lost for words. The staff and security are very helpful, we Look forward for another visit. Definitely recommend this place to anyone!!"

  • "A rejuvenating stay"

    18 December 2014

"We went to Mallard Cottage with every intention to rest, our sourcing of accommodation and location were with this sole purpose in mind. When we arrived at Mallard Cottage, we were somewhat anxious to find the owners lived right next to the cottage but our fears were very soon laid to rest when we hardly heard nor saw the neighbours from the time we checked in. The cottage is a dream, the design and the ease with which it makes every day life seem breeze. Our rooms were immaculate and the kitchen has everything you need to forget that you are indeed still in White River. We had daily greetings from the zebra and impala who peacefully grazed and enjoyed the shade. The security at the gate is friendly and welcoming. Jane and Niel have a beautiful gem and were more than accommodating on our request. THANK YOU for giving us a wonderful and quiet weekend. We all wish we could have stayed longer and hope that you will welcome us back when next we consider Mpumalanga as our destination."
