Petra Mountain Retreat and Conference Centre

Petra Mountain Retreat and Conference Centre is a Christian Retreat Centre nestled on the Ridge of Legogote Mountain in the scenic Lowveld, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding flora and fauna.

The double en-suite bedrooms contain two very comfortable beds, two desk/dressing tables with good lights and two chairs. There is ample cupboard space, as well as a kettle and tea and coffee tray. All the bedrooms are non-smoking rooms. Please note a maximum of two children per room, under 12, is allowed. Pets are not allowed.

There are venues to choose from for the perfect function. The thatched Lapa can accommodate up to 70 people is set separately but next to the main building and rooms, and is an ideal location for conferencing and training, where concentration is enhanced by the lack of distraction. The Lapa has a data projector that must be pre booked, a white board and a flip chart. There is another smaller Conference Room inside the building that can accommodate 25 people.

The dining room comfortably seats up to 50 guests and is an excellent option for conferences and training courses, as well as for the more lavish banquet type of evening. The outside veranda offers al fresco dining with a view, braai area and a swimming pool.

Guests can also have a relaxing cup of tea or coffee in the comfortably furnished lounge with large stone surround fireplace. Free Wi-Fi is available in the Lounge.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner can be pre booked 24 hours in advanced at an additional cost from Monday to Fridays. The kitchen is closed on weekends, except for group bookings. We cater on a Full Board basis for group bookings.

A self-catering kitchen is available at an additional cost per day, and is subject to availability at the time of making the booking. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge with small freezer, a microwave and a two-plate stove. Guests can make use of the braai area, but please bring your own wood, charcoal, firelighters as well as cutlery and crockery or picnic basket.

Petra Mountain is conveniently situated a mere 15 minutes drive from the Kruger National Park, 14 km from Numbi Gate, 30 minutes from Nelspruit, 10 minutes from White River, and 20 minutes from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. This is a great stopover on the way to the Kruger National Park as well as a great venue for conferences, retreats and more.
