"We loved sitting on the stoep early morning with coffee listening to the sounds of the birds, and in the evening with a glass of wine. Complete silence at night and moonlight the only light. Ultra comfy beds, clean linen, everything that you need. Most wonderful, warm and friendly hosts."

  • "magical hideaway"

    07 November 2016

"We loved staying in this beautiful little cabin in the woods. The place was peaceful and Thandi the border collie was a welcome visitor for our three-year-old who could have thrown pine cones for her all day. The deck, from which to watch the birds and enjoy the wind in the trees, was a wonderful spot. The location is also perfect - a short drive to either Wildnerness or Sedgefield. We had a lovely time and would love to return. Wilderness national park, with its bird hide overlooking the lake, is right next door - a real bonus! We watched a pied kingfisher catch a fish :)"

  • "Dit was meer as wat ons verwag het."

    14 July 2009

"Na 'n bietjie gesoek, om die plek te kry, het ons op die mooiste huisie in die mooiste tuintjie in die middel van die bos afgekom. Tuin is baie mooi. Koos en Gail het ons baie vriendelik ontvang. Ons het baie lekker gebly, en ons is daar weg as vriende van oom Koos en sy vrou. Dit was wonderlik om deur die visarende wakker gemaak te word."

  • "Eagles Call - you can really hear it!"

    15 January 2009

"A very tranquil setting, far from any noise or bustle except for the cry of the fish eagle and many other bird life. The cottage was very well appointed and beautifully decorated. We felt very close to nature and very relaxed, however, shops and beaches were within easy driving distances. My teenagers (who are avid photographer) had many photo opportunities. The hosts were very friendly and hospitable."
