Zakrivier Guest Farm
Zakrivier Guest Farm is situated on the farm Goedeverwachting, on the banks of the Zak River just 10 km from Williston on the road to Fraserburg. It is a fully operational farm where we farm with sheep, lucern and garlic. This self-catering house is perfect for a holiday in the Karoo. The house is fully equipped and is ideally located to all the necessary shops and amenities.
Two types of accommodation are offered, namely self-catering and bed and breakfast. The rooms are tastefully furnished and with fine linen and for the cold Karoo nights, electric blankets are provided. The self-catering house consists of three bedrooms, a lounge with DStv, a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor barbecue facilities and a verandah to enjoy the Karoo sunsets.
Lunch and dinner are available on request, and Williston lamb can also be provided. Picnicking, river fishing and swimming, and hiking trails can keep you busy all day to prepare you for a traditional Karoo barbecue.

04 October 2016"Much potential but sadly it was unclean in too many ways - something that I have never experienced in many stays in South African self-catering cottages. Yes, it is an elderly farmhouse but the bathroom should be obviously clean and it was not.<br/>One of the two hotplate burners did not work.<br/>Quiet and good for sleeping - in the only two (of 5) beds that offered adequate mattress support.<br/>Sorry to be so negative but we were disappointed."

23 October 2012"Clean and comfortable, just as good as home.Wonderful Karoo vistas; a glorious morning with spectacular light. We only stayed overnight and the house offered exceptional value. We had a lovely bike ride in the morning. The host family is unobtrusive - in fact, we never even met them: the house was open and lit when we arrived, milk in the fridge, just in case, oranges on the table, and DSTV available if you want it."
