  • "Horrible experience"

    15 January 2018

"When we arrived, our hostess ask me what rooms we booked - she did not even now and thus was not prepared! When I told her the twin room and the 5-sleeper self catering room, she told me that we will first have to wait for the twin room so that she can clean it since it's not clean yet. In turn she offered us the double room with an en-suite bathroom which I found very nice at first glance. We took the double room instead at the same price. There was one couple in our travel group and I suggested that they took the double room. The first night at past 12h00 pm this couple had to flee out of the double room because of cockroaches that took over the room. There were a lot of them - very big ones that was flying (did not know they can fly, until I saw it!!!). So the 7 of us had to sleep in the 5-sleeper room. Next morning when we told the lady her excuse was that there was a plaque in Worcester and that these things come from outside through windows and open doors. Nothing was open though. She never offered anything else. They left and we did not see them again for the rest of the day. Second night we all slept in 5-sleeper again. Luckily we only booked for 2 nights. Although the 5-sleeper was cockroach-free, the bathroom was not tidy. Spider webs and some dirt could be seen. First night there was no hot water - we had to ask the lady before she put on the geyser. What a horrible experience we had at this place. Swimming pool was nice and clean though and braai place also, but apart from that it is not a nice place. They could also look at aircons for their rooms as Worcester was like 40 degrees when we were there. Will never book there again."

  • "Situated close to town and peacefull"

    27 July 2017

"Owner was accommodating and nice;take out loose cupboard and add "kitchen-type shelf"; small things like plugs and switches could be upgraded to work; shower not working well at all, too hot (boiling) and then ice cold.... otherwise good value.... thank you"

  • "Cool stay"

    12 January 2017

"Spent 3 nights from 31 Dec 2016.<br/>We were 5 adults in the 5 sleeper unit.<br/>It was a very nice stay. Pool & yard & braai is great. <br/>We REALLY enjoyed the pool in the Worcester heat. The pool was the cherry on top!<br/>The establishment is also nice & near to the mall & nearby shopping center which made it very convenient for us to go get food supplies.<br/>The bathroom is a little bit cramped, but we managed.<br/>A nice shaded net for vehicles in front would've been a bonus.<br/><br/>Great stay, cool hosts, nice & affordable!"

"Zoe's was exactly what we needed:<div>A clean, affordable place to sleep and get ready for a wedding in the area.<br />We did not expect "luxury" and didnt want to pay a lot - but this was a great price and everything was in order and neat and clean.</div>"

"<p>I only give a 1 star rating for the clean and neat bedding and the fact that there is heaters when it is extremely cold. The hostess was polite on arrival and said if we need anything we can just ask.... tried knocking on the front door with no response had to call the hostess to come out and assist us. This is really a misrepresentation of the Self-Catering Unit! The television is on a awkward place as there is only a 2 plate stove for cooking all the steam of cooking is directly to the back vents of the television I had to move the little stove close to the window to make sure the television does not get damaged. No DSTV and only bunny ears for an antennae, bad signal. Only 1 bed lamp is working and only one light in the main bedroom, the hostess explained that this is because the previous visitors did not like it to be to bright so they must have unscrewed the one bulb. I did not even try to screw in the bulb to see if it was working as it looked like it was broken.Mismatch cutlery, coffee cups, glasses, NO wine glasses only Champagne and then it is also chipped at the bottom and mismatch, the cutlery looks like it is from a caravannot to mentionthe3 steak knives, if you even call it that, one looks like a vegetable knife.Small things like there was only 1 pot to cook with (we were 3 people), the hostess explained that the guests usually don't cook there???They have a braai area but no casserole for the meat, there is oven gloves.... but no oven, no space to pack your groceries if you want to stay more than 1 night, the refrigerator cannot hold milk in the door, it is broken, the fridgepart of the refrigerator's door is gone. There is a shelf they put up we put our groceries there, but it has been a long time since anyone hascleaned there....The only place you can park your car is outside the garage.... there is more than enough space inside the garage to park your car safely, but we had to park in front of the garagedoors we had to clean the windscreen every morning to enable us to see. We stayed for 8nights. There is no potato peeler, no can opener...We bought a braai brush to clean the braaigrid as it was rusted and dirty. Not once in the 8 nights stay, anybody came to clean the chalet not even to mop.Luckily we did not take my mother with us because then she had to sleep on a bunk bed, because the sleeper couchis damaged, because it is being used for a couch also. Even my boys of 14 and 17 slept uneasy on this bunk beds. This place will be appropriate if they put it up for only 2 people to stay because it is a granny flat/ bachelors flatfor 4 people it isuncomfortable. </p>"

  • "Not so enjoyable"

    17 March 2015

"Firstly the photos are misleading (5 sleeper cottage). There was supposed to be 3 rooms in total but there was only 2. One room now has to sleep 3 people. The sleeper coach is harder than the floor. We arrived on a 35 degree summer's day only to be told that the poolpump was faulty (and the pool green) and couldn't be used. One of the reasons for my booking was the pool! The fridge (a very old one) was plugged in on our arrival and didn't keep anything cold with the tiny freezer compartment not having a flap either which rendered it useless as nothing could be frozen. The glasses were all so dirty that I had to wash all of them first before using them. The one bedside lamp in the main-room had a broken switch and could not be used. Being woken in the morning by cars starting-up outside your window inside the garage didn't help either. In general I was extremely disappointed. Won't be back :-( One star was generous I think."

  • "I don't recommend, sorry to say"

    23 July 2012

"When you book into a self-catering unit you expect the small things to be there such as salt, pepper, a grater, dishwashing liquid. Of which there was none. Also in the bathroom there was no handtowel or toilet spray. Like I said, the small things. The carpets are really dirty and the unit is dark and cold (since it is attached to a garage). The only view you've got is into the garage. Everytime the owner starts a car its right by your head. The only nice thing was that the bedding was clean and there were clean towels...if you are only looking for a roof over your head its fine, but otherwise look elsewhere."
