  "Driftwood was a very convenient self catering house near to the entrance of Yzerfontein. We were just using it as a base to sleep, and for this it was perfect.Although we didn't use the garden, the outside braai area was really good and on a warmer weekend would have been the perfect place to sit and enjoy the evening.The weekend was a little cold, but a lovely gas heater was provided in the lounge, and the duvets were very warm and cozy.For an affordable, hassle-free stay in Yzerfontein, it was great."

  "Our stay was lovely and we are more than likely going to book again for next year. The fact that Driftwood is pet friendly also gives us the option of bringing our two dogs if we cant find house sitters or kennels. The one problem that we had was the single beds. they are really noisy and creak and groan loudly if you so much as move. That is the only problem"

  "You will be hard pressed to find better value for money from the facilities on offer at Driftwood. A very clean, spacious and well kept annex to the house where the owners also live. Carrie provide us with a very warm welcome and a lot of very useful information on both the property and Yzerfontain as well as an invaluable A-Z of Cape Town which proved exceptionally useful. Carrie also provided access to Wi-Fi which meant contact with the U.K. and Google became very easy. The property was very quiet and relaxing with lovely private back garden to sit out on the terrace and watch the array of local wildlife. I can't recommend this property more highly. It made our experience of the Western Cape just perfect."

The rooms have plenty of space and the beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well supplied, and you have a nice patio that opens onto the very pretty back garden. Driftwood is located on a quiet residential street at the edge of town, but it is an easy walk or drive to the beach. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and the price is certainly fine. The only thing that some visitors might miss is wifi."

  "We stayed at Driftwood for the night of the 15th Feb and were disappointed that we couldn't stay longer. It is a wonderful, comfortable cottage which is really well equipped and clean. We were especially impressed that the hosts offered for us to stay longer on our day of departure because there was no-one coming in after us. Unfortunately we were in a hurry to get back to Cape Town, but we appreciated the fact that they would allow us to do that if we wanted to."

A large holiday home that was nicely furnished about 5 minutes from one of the most incredible beaches I've ever seen.
