Africa Unplugged Guest Lodge

This is a self-catering lodge situated only two streets from the N4 highway. Guests can relax and enjoy a peaceful nights sleep in comfortable beds with fresh linen, and wake to the delightful twitter of birds in the crisp morning air.

The lodge offers three independent chalets and two rooms with private entrances. They feature fully equipped kitchens, TVs, fans, heaters, irons, separate geysers and tea and coffee-making facilities. There is a braai area, a swimming pool and parking on the premises.

As Zeerust is situated on the way to Botswana, it is a popular stopover for travellers. There are many attractions in the area, including the Dinokana Mission Lehurutshe, the Ikalafeng Monument, the Kleinfontein Memorial and the Marula Kop.

"We arrived on the day to find that the lodge was difficult to find. The room was comfortable, however, the oven lacked a glass door. The level of cleanliness could be improved. The staff were very friendle and all together we had a pleasant stay."

  • "Friendly, comfortable and accommodating"

"My fiance and I originally booked for only five nights. We decided to extend our stay, having found the rates to be good, the location convenient and the accommodation neat, comfortable and homely. Hazel is very friendly, helpful and the facilities are more than adequate. The garden is well kept, with a lovely braai area. I would definately recommend this establishment."

  • "Horrible experience ever!"

    09 August 2016

"Never been so dissappointed in my life! Most horrible place ever! images of the place on the internet as well as the star ratings are misleading!
The inside: dusty, very old, worn out furnisher, extremely cold, no heater nor electric blankets, bath towels so old and they'd rip your skin open, sheets not ironed! Outside the chalets: garden no t maintained, no gate, safety for cars zero! Owner: unprofessional, unapologetic, swears!
In conclusion: We forfeited R3000 that we paid, because there was no way we could spend a night in that horrible dungeon!"

"Budget rooms were clean and comfortable. Good for overnight stop on the way toBotswana.Hazel stayed up till 11pm to give us our key after we had trouble on the road. Just avoid SafariNow and book directly (use Google). Their service is lousy and their fee is a rip-off."

  • "Family response"

    02 January 2015

"My wife commented that it was the best holiday she experienced since we began traveling. Hazel, the owner had become swimming partners with my two daughters and wife, enjoying themselves in a small splash pond. I enjoyed the atmosphere so much and we cannot forget our experience over there."
