Black Rock Beach Cottage

We have been up and running for 21 years and we are a typical beach cottage. Our bathrooms and kitchens are a bit outdated but they are working and fully functional.

Black Rock Beach Cottage is situated in a lovely big tropical garden just a stones throw away from the sand and the sea in Zinkwazi Beach. Black Rock is situated right on the beachfront, where dolphins and sometimes whales are to be seen, and the shoreline encompasses a beautiful lagoon where one can fish or go boating.

The property consists of a 10-sleeper, a 6-sleeper and a 4-sleeper that can be rented out separately or together as one unit. The property is fenced with an alarm system connected to armed response, burglar bars on all windows and security gates on all doors, and there is a laundry on the premises and ample secure parking.

Zinkwazi Beach lies on the subtropical coast just 80 km north of Durban. It is a rare unspoiled holiday destination and home to a nature conservancy with an indigenous forest teaming with bird life and undulating golden beaches.

"We stayed in the Cottage unit and had a chance to look through the 2 bigger parts of the main house.The garden is big and nicely lawned, cleanly maintained. A walk across the front lawn brings you to the gate leading directly onto the sand of these beautiful open, quiet beaches. The highlight is the vast stretches of beaches to walk along and the local Ski Boat Club, beach cafe and pizza outlet provide tasty food close at hand.The units on offer are all very well priced for what is on offer and well appointed. Remember that the small shop in the village has basic stocks only and one must either come well prepared or travel the short distance to either Stanger (Kwadukuza), Ballito or even up to Mtunzini. Planning a trip outing to Ballito in the south or somewhere further north means you can combine sightseeing, a meal out with a shopping trip!Highly recommend this spot for holidays, relaxing and getting away from it all to a peaceful place.The owner, management and caretaker all provide excellent, personal service."
