Slow-paced, laid back, and close to nature is the best way to describe our beautiful village Zinkwazi.

The cottage is a happy space and ideal for a Family/Friendship retreat. Nestled amongst beautiful Milkwoods, Adults, children, and pets enjoy the space. Adorned with a variety of bird and butterfly life, l feel drawn in by nature when at the cottage. Families who visit come because we are on the beachfront and for our garden, it is something else, no formal landscaping, just the way nature intended. We have made space for humans and furries in the garden by building a swimming pool and created eating areas but relied on nature to do the rest. A wholesome family experience spends outdoors away from the hustle and bustle of city life, the ideal place to reconnect and relax. Plenty of fresh air and the smell of the ocean, few things beat that.

The sundeck offers panoramic ocean and breaker wave views, it never gets old. For access to the beach take the footpath which trails from the garden.

Golfing requires a special mention as there are four magnificent courses in the surrounding areas. Add going for a hike in the Harold Johnson Nature reserve as one of the things to do when visiting the village. Pack a picnic and enjoy views of the Tugela River. Beautiful wild orchards and birds will accompany you on your walk through the reserve.

Enjoy a day at the lagoon and ski boat club. Fishing, Kayaking, and SUP is a favourite of families who visit. We offer plenty of parking for cars, boats and jet skis. The area has an abundance of sugar cane, so it is natural that there is a rum distillery. Purchase a local rum and see how it is made by taking a tour through the distillery.

Ps - The town has one entrance and exit, which is monitored by security (boom controlled). Visible security will be found in the streets and on our beachfront. The property is fully serviced and there is at least one staff member on duty at all times.

"We loved the comfortable home which had everything one could need except water which we were required to purchase and toilet rolls and soap which we had to supplement as they ran out on day 1. There was no servicing (bed making or cleaning) during the stay."

"Beautiful gardens, location quiet and peaceful, even with the monkeys that love to jump down on the roof at 06:00 in the morning! Very attentive staff there to make your stay more leisurely and do the thinks that you don't want to do on holiday - my husband got away without doing the washing up! The decking overlooking the beach was ideally situated, though would benefit from having some of the overhanging tree branches cut back so that you could get a wider view of the beach.Some of the patio slabs need to be re bedded as they are cracked and sinking - could be dangerous for more elderly visitors.Loads of space so suitable for couples or families. Linen & towels spotlessly clean. Hose kept very clean during our stay.There were a few minor household repairs/maintenance activities that were needed - loose handles, loose hinges on cupboards, sink taps in bathrooms did not fully turn off. None of this would stop us returning."
