The Great White Guest House

The Great White Guest House is ideally situated in St Michaels on Sea, also known as the holiday mecca of the South Coast, and boasts breathtaking views of the lagoon and ocean.

From our doorstep, guests can watch the dolphins competing for attention with the Humpback whales who honour us with their appearance from June to October. The lush tropical garden, with its crystal clear pool and quiet surroundings, is the ideal getaway for the business traveller, small family or couple to unwind.

The location, a mere 1.5 km from the Shelly Centre and 900 m from St Michaels on Sea swimming beach, makes it the perfect base from which to explore all the area has to offer. Since the guest house offers only two suites, our guests are guaranteed a cosy and private stay.

The guest house sleeps up to 10 people in two beautifully furnished suites. Each suite features an en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning, a private lounge with DStv, bar fridge, and microwave. The suites also lead onto a private veranda with built-in braai facilities.

Please kindly note that the rates applicable during December are also applicable for all long weekends throughout the year.

  • "Unfriendly environment"

    30 December 2012

"We found the unit inside quite acceptable just no initial shower gels provided, however in general we did not enjoy our stay. Our unit faced a road where the traffic never stopped during the night and people driving down with load sound systems. Early in the morning we would be woken by the workers sweeping the drive way at the guesthouse. What we found the most concerning was the overall unfriendly attitude of the owner. I was actually scared to ask her for coffee in the mornings at breakfast as we were only offered juice. We felt it was a matter of take it or leave it. I have travelled a lot and must say usually at a b&b it is all about that personal touch and making people feel at home which was not the case for us at all so this was very disappointing and a waste of our money."
